Tuskegee Honey Roadside Farm

Tuskegee Honey is a locally owned apiary and honey business that is surrounded by a pollinator habitat that currently provides fresh honey and produce to its community. This business bottles its honey in small batches to ensure the health of the bees. Tuskegee Honey has a 5,000-dollar campaign goal to support the construction of a permanent, self-serve, roadside farm stand in Tuskegee Alabama. This roadside farm stand would be stocked with honey, fresh hibiscus, luffa sponges, tomatoes and peppers. It will be equipped with a produce cooler, a solar powered trail camera, and a cashless payment system to offer secure and convenient payment to all customers. In addition to the farmstand, there will be a website to make the purchasing process more This project will expand healthy food access to the residents of Tuskegee and to Macon County. This stand will also support local agriculture, creating a tangible community landmark that highlights the importance of local farming and foster community pride.
