The Community Garden

The community is a local effort, organized by former Councilwoman Norma Jackson. This Community Garden is envisioned to provide the community, but specifically the local elders with an outlet and opportunity to learn how to be stewards of the land and fellowship with one another.  This garden will come to fruition by establishing raised garden beds and wheelchair accessible pathways. We will also have tiered garden beds to accommodate any children who wish to participate in the community garden. The garden is currently in need of a tool shed, fencing and a myriad of other tools. In addition to the garden itself. Mrs. Jackson is also building a wall to place a mural on to serve as a community beautification effort in order to commemorate past significant figures local to Tuskegee.
